Protective clothing – Certified PPE clothing for industry, laboratories and the trades

Professional protective clothing is used wherever conventional workwear does not offer sufficient protection against specific hazards. Whether in the chemical industry, maintenance or production: standardised protective suits and jackets minimise the risks posed by hazardous liquid splashes, corrosive dusts, heat or flames, and ensure compliance with statutory occupational health and safety standards.

Specialised body protection for every hazard zone

Choose the right PPE to meet the statutory safety standards in your workplace:

  • Chemical protection clothing: Liquid-tight and particle-repellent materials for the safe handling of hazardous substances in the laboratory.
  • Certified flame-retardant clothing: Antistatic and heat-resistant fabrics for welding work and thermal hazards.
  • High-visibility safety clothing: High-vis colours and reflective strips for maximum safety in moving traffic and on construction sites.

Protect your team effectively! At Lyreco, you’ll find the right equipment for every protection class.

Frequently asked questions about protective clothing (FAQ):

Question: When must protective clothing be worn at work, and who is responsible for providing it?
Answer: The obligation to wear protective clothing arises directly from the legally required risk assessment for the workplace in question. As soon as risks such as heat, chemicals or mechanical hazards cannot be prevented by technical measures, the employer must provide the appropriate PPE clothing and sterile protective suits free of charge. The employer is also responsible for ensuring that the clothing is regularly inspected, professionally cleaned or replaced when worn out.
