A standard-compliant lanyard is the essential link between the worker’s safety harness and the selected anchor point. Whether for maintenance work on masts, installation work on roofs or operations on aerial work platforms: integrated straps and ropes guarantee comprehensive fall protection, reduce the impact forces in the event of a fall and enable ergonomic positioning directly at the work site.
Choose the right connecting elements to optimally complete your fall arrest and restraint system:
Secure your connections at height reliably! At Lyreco, you can conveniently buy certified equipment online.
Question: When is a lanyard with a fall arrestor required, and what is a safety rope used for?
Answer: A lanyard with a fall arrestor is always essential whenever a free fall cannot be ruled out. In an emergency, the fall arrestor opens in a controlled manner and slows the fall to prevent life-threatening injuries. A lanyard, on the other hand, is part of a positioning system only: it does not prevent a fall, but serves to secure the worker to the structure so that they do not slip and have both hands free to work. Both components are often combined to form a comprehensive positioning system.
