A4 paper thickness 70 gsm. and 80 gsm. It is a very common and popular paper document.
And we probably know that paper with a greater number of grams is a thicker paper.
But have we ever wondered, how we measure the paper thickness?
Gram is the unit we use to measure the mass of paper.
When a piece of paper with an area of 1 x 1 square meter has been weighed. How many grams will it weigh?
So it means that 80 grams of paper is a paper that weighs 80 grams / square meter.
So why A4 paper? The most we used weigh 70-80 grams?
The answer is that the lower the gram of white paper, the easier it will be to see through.
But if it's too thick, it's too heavy to use. The thicker the gram is, the higher the price of the paper.
