The biggest difference can been seen by naked eye: ball pens – Parker, Pilot and Pelikan – are equipped with a different tip than fountain pens. The latter have a nib and using them is a true art and challenge. The ball pen in turn has a tip whose shape resembles the one in the regular pen.
