Coffee from the Congo?

With its Reviving Origins project, Nespresso wants to revive lost coffee regions. This is how this industry leader wants to realise the full potential of Congolese coffee. Due to instability, many coffee farms have been abandoned - this project aims to turn that trend around.

Congo Organic is an organic certified coffee and impresses with mild fruity notes. From the nutrient-rich volcanic soils on the shores of Lake Kivu also comes the pleasant grain and nut aroma. This gives you a slightly sweet, mild coffee that is perfect for any time of day.

The beans are roasted separately in a 50/50 ratio. Both parts are roasted short and dark, whereby the first part is roasted a little longer and darker. This increases the intensity of the coffee. This coffee is ideal as a lungo or as a latte macchiato, where its sweet cereal and biscuit notes are ideally brought out by the milk and its balance is emphasised.
