Natur Verlag Double card made from grass paper. Production partners from research, business and the paper industry have succeeded in optimizing the resource-intensive manufacturing process for paper. Now grass can be used as an ecological alternative raw material to wood for paper production. Freshly available, sun-dried grass is Freshly available, sun-dried grass is processed into pellets and used as a raw material in paper production. This means that today, up to40% of fresh wood pulp or waste paper can be replaced. Without the addition of fresh water and free of chemicals, paper with a natural grass content protects the environment right from the paper production stage. Fast-growing grass as a raw material reduces deforestation and thus protects one of the most important CO2 reservoirs in our ecosystem.
