AED defibrillators can save lives in the event of sudden cardiac arrest. According to statistics, a patient has a 70% chance of survival if an AED is used within 5 minutes of collapse. Many cardiac arrests occur in the workplace, where quick access to a defibrillator is essential. This allows employees to respond quickly and help a colleague until emergency services arrive. Modern AED defibrillators are designed to be used by laypeople without prior medical training. The defibrillator provides clear and understandable instructions through voice instructions and visual symbols. Having an AED defibrillator in the workplace can help reduce fear and panic in the event of an emergency. Employees know that help is available if needed. Investing in an AED defibrillator is an important step in ensuring the safety and health of employees in the workplace. Defibrillators can save lives and help you create a safer and healthier work environment.
The Mediana A16 HeartOn AED is a fully automatic defibrillator. It is intended for use by laypersons in the event of cardiac arrest in various environments, such as workplaces, schools or public areas. After connecting the electrodes to the patient, the defibrillator analyzes the heart rhythm itself and, if necessary, performs defibrillation. It has preset voice instructions in three languages (Czech, Slovak, English). The adult/child mode switch allows you to easily switch between adult and child modes with a button. It is dust and water resistant, meets IP55 certification, which guarantees its durability. It is also shock resistant, having passed a drop test from a height of 0.75 meters on all six sides. The voice recording allows you to record events for later analysis. Its lifespan is 5 years without use. After using the defibrillator, it is necessary to replenish it with new electrodes.
The defibrillator should be placed in a place that is easily accessible to all employees, in case of emergency. This could be, for example, the entrance hall, corridor, reception, dining room or relaxation area. The defibrillator should be clearly visible so that even people who do not know it can quickly spot it if necessary. You can mark it with a visible sign or place it in a brightly lit area. It should also be accessible in emergency situations, such as in the event of a fire or evacuation. You can place it in a cabinet that can be easily opened in an emergency, or hang it on a special stand that can be purchased separately and locked with a seal that can be easily removed in an emergency. The defibrillator should be checked regularly to ensure that it is in good working order.
