Recommended Maintenance

For AutoFeed shredders, regular lubrication of the cutting mechanism is essential for reliable automatic feeding. We recommend using an oil sheet approximately after every 2–3 bin fillings. If the cutting blocks are dry or contaminated, resistance increases and the auto-feed system may lose feeding consistency – in extreme cases, multiple sheets may be pulled in at once or the entire batch may stop. Regular use of oil sheets ensures smooth operation, prevents downtime, and extends the lifespan of the device.

Before shredding documents with staples or other materials, always carefully check the user manual of the specific model – individual devices have different limits, such as the maximum permitted staple size.
