Compliance Status

WCAG defines requirements for improving accessibility for people with disabilities at three levels: A, AA, and AAA. Lyreco's online shop is partially compliant with WCAG 2.2 Level AA, meaning some content may not fully conform to the standard.

Limitations and Alternatives

Despite our efforts, individual limitations may exist. Known limitations:

1.  Keyboard Navigation: Some buttons or links lack a sufficiently visible keyboard focus, as older components were designed without visible focus styles.

2.  Page Structure: A "skip to content" link is missing for keyboard users; this functionality will be added with a planned header update.

3.  Images and Media: Some images may not contain alternative text; we are introducing alternative text validation for editors.

4.  Cookie Consent Dialogues: Some may not have appropriate ARIA labels, as they originate from external scripts; we are replacing them with accessible solutions.

5.  Headings and Semantic Structure: Heading levels may be skipped; we are standardizing the heading structure in the CMS templates.

6.  Color Contrast: Some text or control elements may have insufficient contrast against the background; we are reviewing and adapting the color palette to meet standards.

Our Accessibility Remediation Plan

•  Critical barriers:  We will fix all critical WCAG 2.1 AA issues across our current platform by Q4 2027.

• Progressive improvements:  Remaining accessibility gaps will be addressed in phases and resolved by end of 2028..

•  Short-term measures:  Until then, we will fix any newly identified critical barriers within 60 business days..

• Audit basis:  Dieser Plan wird jährlich oder nach jeder größeren Produktfreigabe überprüft und aktualisiert.

• Prüfungsgrundlage: This remediation roadmap is based on automated and manual audits, aligned with EN 301 549 Annex C and RGAA 4.1 methodology.
