Plastic Packaging Tax is being implemented across the UK from the 1st of April this year.

What is the new Plastic Packaging Tax?

This is a new tax that will apply to plastic packaging manufactured in, or imported into the UK, which does not contain at least 30% recycled plastic.

The aim of the tax is to provide a clear economic incentive for businesses to use recycled plastic in the manufacture of plastic packaging, this will create more demand for the material and actively encourage more frequent adoption of sustainable business decisions to the benefit of the environment.
