Of course, it’s delicious, we wouldn’t put our name on anything that isn’t, but our coffee is something else. Made with our own unique blend of Columbian Arabica and Indian Robusto ours are shade grown organic Fairtrade beans. You probably know that Fairtrade means the farmers and their families are paid a fair price and your coffee is slavery free but Shade grown organic fairtrade coffee means more than just money, it is the highest level of environmental protection.
Instead of being intensively farmed on a plantation that may or may not have been created through deforestation, shade grown beans are planted in fields that mimic the natural environment coffee shrubs thrive in. That means the shrubs are planted amongst the wildflowers and trees they would find themselves in. It’s good for the farmer because the increased biodiversity protects their harvest from disease and rainfall fluctuations, but it’s also great for the environment because they are reforesting and increasing biodiversity. Jamila’s Ethical Coffee, tastes amazing and does amazing.
