Which A3 paper grammage do you need?
Like A4 paper, A3 paper comes in different quality: for everyday use, a 80 gsm is enough, while a 150 gsm paper is recommended for display. The 150 gsm a3 paper is ideal for all types of printing: high volume, laser, black and white, color and photocopying. Check your printing setting to know which grammage it can print on.
What is the good resolution to print on a3 paper?
If you would like to print a high quality image, full size on an a3 paper, you should be cautious about your setting. You can find below a few suggestions to help you during the printing process.
Printing on an a3 paper requires a minimum resolution. If you want your printing results to be high quality enough and visible from short distance, the image should be 3508 X 4961 pixels (at 300ppi). Those setting are used for books, brochures, magazine, photo books…
At 150 ppi, your image needs to be 1754 X 2480 pixels, which is the minimum resolution for posters.
