Because the foam is soft rather than rigid, it cushions the impact when components are dropped onto the work surface during handling, helping to prevent damage to delicate parts. At the same time it improves operator comfort during precision assembly, inspection and repair work.
The REBOURNE® W3 Series is recommended for electronics manufacturing, PCB assembly, laboratories, service centres, inspection stations, repair workshops, research facilities and technical production environments where electrostatic discharge protection is required. It is suitable for both permanent workstations and flexible technical work areas.
The REBOURNE® W3 is available as a complete ESD Table Mat Kit in standard mat sizes, including an antistatic wrist strap, coiled grounding cord, double-inlet grounding point and continental earth bonding plug for quick installation. For larger areas or non-standard workstation layouts, the W3 mat is also produced in custom cut lengths and full rolls, supplied as separate product references.
