LYRECO INTERSAFE SAFETY CIRCLE
Our ambition is to support companies in maximising safety performance in a compliant and cost-effective way. To this end, we have developed our own approach to safety called the Lyreco Intersafe Safety Circle.
This circle represents the steps we take to guide companies toward realizing a safe and productive work environment. The idea of the circle is based on the fact that safety is a continuous process in which new risks and circumstances may always emerge.
PRINCIPLES
The Safety Circle illustrates how we approach the comprehensive safety of your employees based on five principles.
Analysis
Under the Framework Directive 89/391/EEC, employers are required to carry out risk assessments so that they can take appropriate measures to protect the health and safety of employees at work.
The risk assessment is used to identify all potential risks that could affect the health and safety of employees in the organisation.
Only after as many potential risks as possible have been eliminated or mitigated will the residual risk analysis result in the recommendation of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Solution
How to match risk and protection and make sure it fits the person and the situation?
The choice of PPE depends on the task the employee is performing in a particular location, in which environmental conditions play a role.
For example, PPE with a relatively short lifespan needs to be available on site as quickly as possible and its use may evolve according to environmental factors. Depending on the specific situation, you can also offer solutions in the form of personalised products such as customised eye and hearing protection, tailored or printed workwear or safety footwear with orthopaedic insoles.

Maintenance

By involving end-users in the ordering and delivery process, you can make a significant contribution to PPE awareness and willingness to use it.
