What is a melamine whiteboard? 

Melamine is the cheapest laminate coating for a whiteboard. As a result, the coating will wear down faster than its porcelain counterpart will. The wearing out will cause ghosting if the markers. To avoid this issue, you will need to clean and condition your whiteboard on regular basis. Those boards are the most affordable option and are the one to opt for if you want to save money. Although, this will work only if you make a less frequent usage of it. Do not forget to purchase your marker if you want to be able to use your new whiteboard as soon as you receive it.

What is a porcelain whiteboard? 

The porcelain of whiteboard are made from ceramicand stell backing. Those boards are more resistant to stains and scratched than the above models. They will then last longer and are perfect for heavy use, as they require less cleaning. They can be used in common rooms easily. The only concern about this office supplies product is that they are more expensive.

What about a glass whiteboard?

Those whiteboard are extremely durable and have a strong wall anchor. They are more expensive than the other boards but they will not ghost. Another pros is that they are more modern and come in different colors. They can be magnetic allowing you to hang documents when required. They are perfect if you want your whiteboard to last long and to fit in your interior office design.

If the main purpose of your board is not to write but to hand documents, a good solution would be to opt for a cork board and some adapted pin .
